What We Offer
What Is Biblical Grief Counseling?
Grief counseling at RHM is a structured, Christ-centered process that helps individuals and families navigate loss. Whether you're grieving the death of a loved one, a miscarriage, a divorce, or a significant life change — our counselors walk with you through the pain toward healing and hope.
We do not rush grief or offer easy answers. We believe in the ministry of presence — sitting with you in the hard places, just as Job's friends sat with him before they began to speak (Job 2:13).
"He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain."
— Revelation 21:4

Understanding Grief — A Biblical Perspective
Shock & Denial
Psalm 77:2The initial numbness and disbelief that follows loss. RHM counselors create a safe space for you to simply be present in your pain.
Anger & Protest
Psalm 22Anger at God, others, or yourself is a natural expression of grief. Lament psalms show us this is a legitimate part of walking with God through loss.
Bargaining & Longing
Lamentations 3The 'what ifs' and 'if onlys' — a heart reaching for what has been lost. Counselors help clients bring these longings honestly before God.
Depression & Withdrawal
Matthew 5:4Deep sadness, fatigue, and detachment are part of grief — not a sign of weak faith. We walk alongside you with patience and biblical truth.
Acceptance & Integration
Psalm 30:5Grief does not 'end' — it changes. Integration means carrying the loss forward while continuing to live in hope.
